First payment - Antique Victorian, 18ct Gold, Platinum and Rose Cut Diamond Arrow (2.64g)

This wonderful Antique 'Jabot Pin' Brooch was a super find! Crafted in Platinum with an 18ct Gold back, it comprises 26 rose cut diamonds on its arrow head and tail.

First introduced in the 18th century to secure a man's 'jabot' at the front of his shirt, jabot pins enjoyed a popularity revival in the Art Deco era. They are pinned to a piece of clothing just like a brooch, and once on, only the decorative, (in this case, diamond) parts are visible. To attach the brooch, the arrow tail is simply removed by pulling it away from the pin.

This versitile arrow could be worn as a brooch, or to hold a cardican/scarf together. It could also be converted to an extender, or a pendant. It measures 6.5cm long and 1.2cm wide at the widest part of its tail. It weighs 2.64g
