This is such a beautiful Edwardian 9ct Rose Gold chunky curb chain bracelet with an exquisitely decorated heart padlock and its own safety chain.
The padlock is fully hallmarked for 9ct Gold, Birmingham and the year 1904, making this bracelet almost 120 years old.

On one side of this classical curb bracelet, there are alternating engraved and plain links all the way round. On the other side, the hollow links are all plain.

The Victorians called bracelets decorated like this  "Night & Day” bracelets as they were reversible and could be worn with for night or daywear.  The plain side was worn during the day and then it was turned over to its chased side for evening wear. The fashion for these bracelets has continued from Victorian times right through to the 21st Century where they remain a classic and iconic piece for many women today.
 
This antique bracelet remains in excellent antique condition with only age-related wear, at would be expected for a bracelet of this age.
