Antique, 9ct Gold Citrine Ring, Hallmarked 9ct Gold, Birmingham, 1902

This beautiful antique citrine solitaire ring is hallmarked for 9ct Gold, Birmingham and the Edwardian year, 1902. It also bears its makers mark; N.B.

It features a superb Citrine (variety of quartz) at its centre - with a warm honey-glow hue, beautifully translucent and catching the light as it moves.

The band, which is is fully hallmarked is a UK size Q 1/2, and a US size 8 1/2. It weighs 2.69g.

Deriving from the french word, 'Citron' for Lemon, Citrine is a transparent, yellow variety of quartz, ranging from pale yellow to almost brown. The Citrine stone has long been believed to attract wealth, joy and success.
