Antique, 18ct Yellow Gold, Double Row, Ruby and Diamond Ring, Birmingham, 1876

This is a magnificent Victorian ring comprises 6 graduated rubies and 6, graduated rose cut diamonds. Set into two rows, one above the other, both sets of stones emit the most incredible sparkle as they catch the light!

This would be an excellent choice for an engagement ring, as the gems are well set and would be safe to wear every day. (Historical note: In the 18th and 19th centuries, rubies and diamonds were often paired together as a symbol of eternal love and enduring strength..)

The ring is a UK size O, which is a US size 7, but it could be resized. It is fully marked on its band for 18ct Gold, Birmingham and the Victorian year, 1876.
