18ct Gold Acrostic Multigem 'ADORE' ring, Hallmarked, 18ct Gold and 1882

This is a spectacularly beautiful acrostic ring. Featuring an amethyst, ruby, a cabochon opal doublet, a emerald and an old cut diamond, the first letter of each of these gemstones spell out the word ‘ADORE’.

The 18ct gold band is hallmarked for 18ct Gold, Birmingham and the letter 'h' for 1882.

Sentimental rings or 'Acrostic' rings like this have always been extremely popular and were used to express a secret romantic message to their loved one spelt out in gemstones. This one reminded the wearer that they were 'adored'.

Set in 18ct gold, these bright gems are lively and in excellent condition. The band is currently a UK size L (US size 5 3/4) but it could be re-sized. It weighs a very healthy 3.09g
