Antique, 18ct Gold, Heavy, Engraved (Ivy and Pansy) Wedding /Stacking Band, Hallmarked 18ct Gold, Birmingham, 1905. 5g

Crafted from a bright and buttery 18ct Gold, this stunning Antique wedding band is a wonderful find.   It features beautiful and intricate engravings of ivy (a romantic symbolism in the Victorian/Edwardian era, which translated as 'cling to thee') and the pansy flower, which itself also carries a romantic sentiment; deriving from the french word 'pensée', for 'thoughts'.  These incredible engravings cover the entire ring, all around the band, so that it can be worn in any position.

Fully hallmarked for 18ct Gold, Birmingham and the year 1905, this band sits very comfortably on the finger and currently meaures a UK size Q, which is a US size 8.  It is 5mm wide, and weighs a very healthy 5g!
