Antique, 15ct Gold Harlequin, Multi-Gem Circle Brooch

This stunning antique multi-gemstone Harlequin brooch is crafted from 15ct Gold and features Turquoise, Opal, Diamond, Sapphire, Emerald, Pearl and Ruby

This bright, colourful and good sized (1.8cm x 1.8cm) circular shaped brooch could easily be converted to a pendant, which looks wonderful on a chain around the neck. 

It weighs 3.28g, and while it is not hallmarked, it has tested for 15ct Gold, which tells us that it was made before 1932.

Harlequin jewellery was named after the colourful costumes of comedy actors in the 16th century. The style was very popular in the Victorian era, which saw rings, brooches, pendants and necklaces created out of a colourful array of gems.
