Antique, 15ct Gold, Amethyst, Emerald and Pearl Ring (Suffragette Colours) Hallmarked Birmingham, 1920

This stunningly beautiful multi-gem ring (amethyst, pearl and emerald, the colours which represented the suffragettes during their movement) remains in tip top condition.

Set on a 15ct gold band, it features a lustrous pearl sandwiched between two pear shaped amethysts; one on each side and 6 sea green emeralds; 3 above and 3 below. 

Jewellery which combined the colours green, purple and white was often referred to as 'suffragette jewellery', as it was in these colours that the suffragettes were thought to communicate to each other that they supported the suffragette movement. (Green for 'Give', White for 'Women' and Violet for 'Vote')

This piece of history is hallmarked for 15ct Gold, Birmingham and the year 1920.

It is currently a UK size K (US 5 1/2), but it could easily be re-sized up or down.
