Antique, 15ct Gold, Diamond, Black Enamel and Banded Agate Snake Pendant

I was really excited to find this very unique and rare piece.  Crafted from 15ct Gold, this stunning piece is a pendant and can hang from a chain via a loop at the top.

Snakes, according to jewellery's romantic sercet language symbolise everlasting love, so this one is for all you romantics out there!  Iti features a gorgeous old cut diamond on its head and a generous banded agate body.  The whole snake is bordered by a black enamel and gold snake with an open mouth, and happy expression! 

It measures 3cm long, and 1.9cm wide, and weighs 6.34g.  There are no hallmaks on this snake, but it has been tested. I suspect it derives from the late Victorian era. 

The pendant remains in immaculate condition.  A teeny piece of enamel is damaged at the bottom of the snake.  This cant be seen when the pendant is worn, but i'm mentioning it for complete transparency.   Please have a look at the pictures and video, and dont hesitate to get in touch if you require any further information
