9ct Gold Vintage 9ct Gold, Double Diamond Double Snake Ring, Hallmarked London, 1961

This is a really pretty and unique vintage double snake ring. Two coiled serpents, crafted in a yellow and buttery 9ct gold are each crowned with round cut diamonds.

This sweetheart ring carries a romantic sentiment; the two contrasting stones symbolise the coming together of two souls and the entwined serpents represent eternal, everlasting love, loyalty and friendship.

Queen Victoria was a very keen exponent of snake jewellery and had several pieces in her personal collection, notably her engagement ring which was a snake with an embedded emerald stone.

This ring sits flat and comfortably on the finger and is fully hallmarked for 9ct Gold, London and the year 1961. It weighs 4.93g and is a UK size R (US size 8.5) but could be re-sized.
