9ct Gold, Antique, Kidney Bean Lucky Charm, Hallmarked 9ct Gold

This is a lovely, and rather slinky 9ct gold lucky kidney bean charm, which measures approximately 1.2 cm x 0.6 cm wide. Its hallmark for 9ct gold is visible on the bottom of the bean, and while it doesnt have a date mark, I suspect it comes from the 1910s.

This wonderful hollow antique charm looks very pretty on a chain around the neck or attached to a charm bracelet.

As well as being a symbol of luck, Kidney beans have long been thought to represent fertility and new beginnings and were very popular in the late 1800/early 1900s.
