18ct Gold Antique, Victorian, Seed Pearl and Ruby Heart Ring, Birmingham and 1897

If you are looking for a romantic sweetheart ring, this one is for you!  Fully hallmarked for 18ct Gold, Birmingham and the year 1873, it features a large central heart formed from 10 tiny seed pearls, and a bright pink ruby on either side.  Detailed engraving is visible on both shoulders, and its rich 18ct gold band is very slightly tapered towards the back.

This ring is over 150 years old, so it is quite remarkable that it remains in such good condition.  The only thing i would point out is that the band itself has been very slightly squashed long ways.  This makes little or no difference to its size, but it may sit high on a very thin finger.  That said, it could easily be rounded out again by your jeweller, and i have taken this detail into account when pricing this item.

The ring is currently a UK size P (USA size 7 3/4) and its face measures 6mm at its widest point.
