18ct Gold, Antique Amethyst, Peridot and Diamond Ring

Here is a stuningly beautiful antique multigem ring in tip top condition.

Set on an 18ct gold band, this superb antique ring features a bright amethyst sandwiched between two twinkling peridots. 8 old cut diamonds sit above and below these colourful gems blending beautifully, and organised in two rows of four.

Jewellery which combined peridot, amethyst and diamonds or pearls together was often referred to as suffragette jewellery, as it was in these colours that the suffragettes were thought to communicate to each other that they supported the suffragette movement. (Green for 'Give', White for 'Women' and Violet for 'Vote')

This piece of history is no longer hallmarked, probably due to a previous re-size, but it has been tested for 18ct Gold. It is currently a UK size L (US 5 1/2), but it could easily be re-sized up or down. It weighs a very helathy 3.11g, and it has been cleaned and is ready to wear.
