Vintage and antique jewellery
The vast majority of antique and vintage pieces will show signs of wear. These are not machine-made mass produced items, but hand made unique items which have already been worn, sometimes for over a hundred years. Anything that really stands out will be mentioned in the description, but if the item is original, general wear such as the rubbing of gemstone surfaces, gold scratches, and discolouration of some gems, such as pearls should be expected. My descriptions are written to the best of my knowledge and experience and gemstone sizes are approximations.
Please look at the pictures and video carefully – I take care to show all angles of each item.
All the pieces I sell are to be worn, but these precious heirlooms are old and delicate and extra, sometimes specific care must be taken to maintain and protect them. I cannot provide guarantees once the item has left me and I cannot repair items once they have been in your care.
I do not re-size rings myself. In my experience, ring fittings are best done directly with your jeweller so that he can measure your finger and a prefect fit can be achieved.
Returns
I accept returns within 7 days of receipt. Returned items must be unaltered in anyway and the customs form clearly marked as a ‘return of sale’. Unless the item arrived damaged or not as described, any import taxes/duties charged to me will be deducted from the refund amount.
I’m afraid I cannot accept returns on sale or layaway items.
Layaway
I accept layaway payments on the following terms.
- Once a sale is agreed, the first deposit is non-refundable.
- The second payment is required one month from the date of the deposit
- The final payment is due one month after the second payment.
- Failure to complete the payments will result in the layaway being cancelled and the deposit retained by me.
Shipping
All UK items are sent via Special Delivery, and are dispatched the same day. Tracking information is provided on your despatch note.
Overseas orders under £250 are sent via Royal Mail International Tracked if you choose 'Free shipping'. If you choose the courier express shipping, i use DHL express, or Fedex. Tracking information is provided on your despatch note, but you can also email me anytime if you need any other information!
